Jacquelyn White, MA, LMFT (Lic.#122105)
Utilizing a strength-based approach, I support clients in understanding different parts of themselves that are causing distress in their lives. I have experience facilitating growth with individuals that suffer from anxiety, depression, arousal/sexual dysfunctions and complex trauma. I work to help clients overcome barriers and gain access to their ideal self. Thanks to neuroscience research, we have learned about the power of neuroplasticity- that change is possible at any point in a human’s life. I believe in the power of change and strive to instill this hope.
My approach with intimate partners is more direct. Drawing from Non-violent communication strategies, attachment theory, Gottman theory, and David Schnarch’s theories on intimacy and desire. My task is to support the couple in reaching their goals. I have supported couples on a myriad of topics, such as: non-monogamous issues, infidelity, sexual dysfunction, lack of intimacy and desire, and communication ruptures.
