Bo Hamer, MSW, LCSW (Lic.#77151)
I believe the development of a secure and collaborative relationship is the most important aspect of the work I do. Working from a strengths-based and relational perspective, I have experience with at-risk youth, families, and adults using a multi-theoretical approach including attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, narrative therapy, and alternative therapies such as art and play therapy. I have experience working with Latino and immigrant populations and have lived, worked and studied in Central America and am fluent in Spanish. Furthermore, I believe that being trauma-informed in my work is of the utmost importance. In addition, my education and values as a social worker guide me to accommodate and treat people of all walks of life who feel marginalized by the larger society and who face struggles with discrimination and poverty. I love helping youth and adults through change and transformation so that they can actualize their goals in life.
