Caryn Lowe is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and a Certified EMDR therapist who has been studying and practicing EMDR for 18 years. Caryn’s primary EMDR mentor is Dr. Laurel Parnell- founder of the esteemed international Parnell Institute. in addition to EMDR, Caryn is trained in psychodynamic and attachment based therapies. She has experience working with a wide spectrum of client issues including sexual assault, partnership and marriage issues, addiction, emotional abuse, grief, relationship conflict, distorted self concept, and medical trauma. She views ongoing education and consultation as cornerstones to providing excellent therapeutic service to her clients.
Caryn views emotional safety as the essential underlying foundation for successful psychotherapy. She works to deeply listen and attune to her clients needs, concerns, and goals for therapy. Caryn encourages honest feedback, from her clients, so that she can continually adapt, the work in therapy, to fit individual needs.
Thirty years of experience provide Caryn the confidence to work with diverse emotional challenges. Caryn views psychotherapy as a team approach dependent on both client and therapist, working together, to facilitate change. When the client/therapist relationship is respectful and emotionally safe, people feel the support to move into their own potential.
